“The true cost” is a story about the mass production of clothes and it’s consequences in the world.

Cheap clothes and the idea of fast fashion sell irresponsibly a lot of trans-genetic cotton to the western world. Making the owners of big companies richer while the workers have a difficult life in factories exposed to a large variety of toxic waste that the industry produces that causes them diseases.

This documentary also shows an alternative way of responsible extraction of raw materials and clothes production. A company like Patagonia is an example of responsibility towards the product life cycle. The company shows the production and the recycle process so they can guarantee their clients that the products they sell are in fact natural and made responsibly.

This film is recommended to all retailers in the world. Because we are not just responsible of activating the economy but at the same time taking care of our environment.
